What is airbrush tanning?

Airbrush tanning is body airbrushing using FDA approved ingredient, DHA (dihydroxyacetone).  It is the same ingredient in all safe tanners.

The airbrush allows for practically flawless application of a high quality sunless tanner.  The natural looking results are largely due to the airbrush itself.  It is applied evenly and streak free using this method and can be layered and blended.



How long should I allow for treatment?

The application takes 15-20 minutes and it is recommended that you wait 10 minutes to dry.  To be safe, allow yourself 45 minutes for each airbrush session.

Are there ways to enhance the Infinity Sun results?

Before your appointment, to achieve the perfect sunless tan you should always follow these simple steps: Cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate.  Follow these two steps the day of, or the night before you tan:

Step 1.
Cleanse and exfoliate your skin in bath or shower by massaging the Infinity Sun non-abrasive pineapple enzyme exfoliant cream onto the skin, leave for 2-3 minutes then rinse clean.  This removal of dead skin cells will give a fresh, even surface to tan, which will increase the life and evenness of your Infinity Sun.  Do not use an abrasive exfoliant, as it will create unevenness in the skin, which does not leave an even surface for the spray tanner.

Step 2.
Always hydrate your skin after exfoliation by using a moisturizing lotion the night before tanning.  If tanning the same day of the exfoliation, use the Infinity Normalize Treatment, as lotion will interfere with the tanning process.  Applying lotion in between your Infinity Sun sessions will increase the life and luster of your tan.  Avoid using lotion directly after your Infinity Sun session.  After you shower, you may start using the Infinity Sun Extend , as it is not only a moisturizer but contains DHA that will further increase the life of your tan.

How does it work?

The active ingredient is dihydroxyacetone (DHA) causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids on the outer most layer of the skin.  This reaction causes the color of the skin to change, producing a beautiful natural tan.  DHA starts to react with the skin within 2 hours of the tan application and continues to do so for a total of 12 hours after which time you can wash.

What should I wear during an Infinity spray session?

Most people wear a bathing suit, dark under garments, bottom is a must.  The Bronzer we use in our bronze solution is water-soluble and should wash out.

After You Tan

Will my skin be wet when I Infinity Sun?

The mist should be sprayed on lightly and drying time around 5 minutes.  The ingredients will be active for 12 hours.

How long should I wait after a tanning session before showering?

To give the DHA enough time to fully set, we recommend waiting a minimum of 6-8 hours after tanning.  We recommend not shower before the next day. Showering sooner may diminish the intensity of the tan.  If you tanned using solution with Bronzer, the bronzer will wash off in the shower, but the DHA that creates your longer-lasting tan will remain.

Does Infinity Sun tanning mist have any smell after contact with my skin?

Some people notice a light and fresh fragrance a few hours after a tanning session.  This will diminish with in few hours.

Will swimming affect my tan?

Swimming in chlorinated water and salt water can fade the Infinity Sun results, cause possible streaking and will diminish the length of your tan.  However, normal activities such as bathing, showering, or physical activities will not affect the quality of the tan; it will make it gradually fade.

If I Infinity Sun, can I also tan in tanning beds and in the sun?

Yes.  There is nothing in the Infinity Sun tanning mist that would prevent you from tanning in tanning beds or the sun.  In fact, a number of customers have found that tanning with UV rays and the Infinity Sun tanning mist actually gives them a better overall tan.  If you plan to use a tanning bed and Infinity Sun in the same day, we recommend that you use the tanning bed first.  Remember, however, that the Infinity Sun tan does not give you any protection from UV rays.

I have fair skin and have never been able to tan.  Will I look tan after an Infinity Sun session?

Infinity Sun was designed specifically for individuals who can't or prefer not to tan conventionally.

Can I use Infinity Sun if I am pregnant?

We recommend consulting with your doctor before proceeding with an Infinity Sun session.

Has anyone had an allergic reaction to Infinity Sun tanning mist?

The component we use in our mist have been successfully used in cosmetics and food products for decades, and are proven safe for use on the skin.  If you've had previous allergic reactions to self-tanning lotions or cosmetics, you may want to do a "patch test" first.  Put a small amount of Infinity Sun tanning mist on a small area of your skin to test for possible reactions.
